Representatives from MSU International Leadership and Training Center and approximately 20 students from the Ningxia University in China visited the Fruit Station to learn about the research we are conducting and the facilities and resources we have to offer. The students are currently attending Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. Students were introduced to the Mountain Grove campus faculty and had the opportunity to go to the vineyard and learn about different trellising systems, grapes varieties, and the current research we are conducting at the Fruit Station. In addition to the demonstrations, the students were able to harvest Norton grapes, process them in the de-stemmer and press them into juice. Students also received a tour of the distillery/winery, the quarantine greenhouse which included pest research projects. The students finished with a visit to our sales floor.
