We have bid our May #BearGrads farewell, and summertime is upon us. I wanted to highlight a few summer events.

Tent Theatre opens its 53rd season

The first is Tent Theatre, which Missouri State has produced for more than 50 years. Tent Theatre operates under an agreement with Actors’ Equity that allows our students to work side-by-side with theatre professionals from around the country.

The lineup will have three outstanding productions this year:

• “Leap of Faith,” June 10-13, 15-20
• “Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure,” June 25-July 3
• “Hairspray,” July 8-11, 13-19

Summer days at the ballpark

Another event for you to be aware of is Staff Senate’s Missouri State Staff Appreciation Night at Hammons Field June 18 at 7:10 p.m. That night’s game features the Springfield Cardinals and the Northwest Arkansas Naturals.

The Foundation will also continue our tradition of having a Missouri State Alumni Day at Busch Stadium in St. Louis and Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City. The Alumni Day at Busch Stadium will be June 13 at 3:10 p.m, while the Alumni Day at Kauffman Stadium will be June 21 at 1:10 p.m.
