A lot of exciting and fun events are happening on campus this summer. I encourage each member of the University community to participate in the events that sound interesting and fun to you. Here are three examples:
A first for MarooNation
On June 25, we will host the very first MarooNation Ball in Springfield. This black-tie optional event will feature incredible performances, dining and dancing to Kansas City’s Patrick Lentz Band.
The MarooNation Ball is an unforgettable celebration for a great cause. All proceeds go toward supporting Missouri State University students.
A “Great Escape” with Tent Theatre
We will also kick off the 54th year of Tent Theatre. Tent Theatre provides our students with a unique opportunity to work side-by-side with theatre professionals from around the country.
This year’s lineup includes three outstanding productions:
- “All Shook Up” — June 8-11, 13-18
- “Unnecessary Farce” — June 23-25, 27-July 1
- “My Fair Lady” — July 6-9, 11-17
Music and more on campus
We will also host several great events at JQH Arena and Plaster Stadium, including:
- James Taylor — 7 p.m. Monday, June 27
- Nitro Circus Live — 5 p.m. Saturday, July 2
- Kiss “Freedom to Rock” tour — 8 p.m. Saturday, July 23
Thanks for all you do for Missouri State and have a great summer!
