Dr. David Rohall, Department Head of Sociology and Anthropology, received an Assessment Grant for his project Initial Assessment of the Value of Program-Level Career Training.

In the capstone class, a Pearson product called Foliotek will be added. Foliotek is designed to help students learn how to prepare for the job search. Instructors can monitor students’ work in the program. Students will then be surveyed and asked the value of adding career training to their program of study, to show a pathway between textbook knowledge and future work roles. If the students find Foliotek adds value to their learning experience, they will consider utilizing it for all students in the program.

The Office of Assessment congratulates Dr. Rohall on his assessment grant and his dedication to improving student learning as well as preparing his students for life after graduation.
