Something New – Peach Brandy

Mountain Grove Cellars is making peach brandy this year. This process begins in the field where our field crew does a professional job pruning, spraying and maintaining the crop. When the peaches were ripe the crew pick what we needed. We put our peaches in the freezer and, after a few days, me and Karl took them out to thaw. Netting the grapes

The field crew is putting nets on the Vignoles grapes to keep the birds away from the fruit. The winged nemeses have been flying around, looking at the grapes, and licking their beaks. Birds tend to like smaller berries, like Vignoles, as well as purple or red berries.
