UPDATED: Production BDM Down Until 10am Thu 30 July 2026

Update 2:00pm 7/30. We continue to investigate the connections with Evisions for Checks and Purchase orders. 

Update 11:00am, 7/30. BDM Web viewer is now accessible.  We still have some steps to take to get our auto-indexing of Checks and Purchase Orders working through Evisions and we are diligently working on those, so please hold on those two components, but otherwise things should be up and running.  We will provide an additional update as the final components are ready.

Update 10:00am, 7/30. We apologize for the additional BDM outage time, we are continuing to troubleshoot issues related to our configuration change and are working with Ellucian to resolve the problem. We will provide updates as quickly as possible, and will provide another update no later than noon today.

Banner Document Management (BDM) requires a configuration change that will take it down around 4pm today (29 July 2026). We expect the system to be up no later than 10am Thu 30 July 2026. We will keep you informed when we bring BDM back for production work. The test system will also be affected.

Banner Q2 Upgrade on Sunday 2 August 2026

On Sunday 2 August 2026, Banner Q2 upgrades will be applied to the production system.

During this time, you should plan for Banner and related systems to be unavailable between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm. We strive to complete the upgrade as quickly as possible but sometimes need the extra time to finish everything. Rest assured we will make the system available again as soon as the upgrade is complete.

The following primary systems will be unavailable during the upgrade:

  • My Missouri State
  • Admin Banner
  • Argos, including Bear Intelligence
  • Banner Document Management (BDM)
  • Self-service 9, including Employee Profile, Student Profile, Registration, and Faculty Assignments
  • Custom web applications (Grails and Django), including Who-What, ATLAS, and Class Dashboard
  • Any other system that relies on a direct connection to Banner

The following systems will not be impacted:

  • University networks
  • Phone systems
  • Main (public) websites
  • Brightspace
  • Office 365
  • Email services
  • Video surveillance systems
  • Electronic door access
  • Application for admission

Urgent Production Banner Upgrade Tonight!

We have been tracking an urgent security patch needed for Banner production. We plan to install this tonight (27 May 2026) starting around 8pm. We are making preparations for this now.

Starting around 8pm and continuing for at least 2-3 hours, you should plan for Banner and related systems to be unavailable. We strive to complete the upgrade as quickly as possible but sometimes need the extra time to finish everything. Rest assured we will make the system available again as soon as the upgrade is complete.

The following primary systems will be unavailable during the upgrade:

  • My Missouri State
