The gourds were planted in the field today. Panels were installed for the smaller gourds to grow over and the larger gourds were planted in the ground. Blue Hubbard Squash was planted at the end of each row as a trap crop.  The varieties planted are:  Tennessee Dancing, Bird House, Big Apple, Mayo Bule, Zucca and Bushel Basket. Seeds were purchased at Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company in Mansfield.
