As the spring 2020 semester comes to a close, several faculty members in the Marketing Department were recognized for their accomplishments and contributions to Missouri State University and the College of Business. We would like to take a moment to recognize these faculty for their accomplishments and achievements.
Dr. Allen Schaefer received the 30 Years of Service Award for his dedication to Missouri State. Schaefer teaches several sales classes, including Personal Selling and Advanced Selling. His professional experiences in the sales industry have allowed him to teach students how to succeed in the field. In 2006, Schaefer also received the University Award for Excellence in Teaching. Schaefer’s skills and experience are invaluable to the Marketing Department and to his students.
Dr. Jackson Li received the COB Outstanding Non-empirical Research Award. Li is a newer member of the Marketing Department, joining in 2016. His understanding of the field of operations management has helped him in both his research and inside the classroom. A great deal of his research is specifically related to inventory management, an increasingly relevant topic in the modern business environment.
Dr. Wes Friske was awarded the COB Outstanding Empirical Research Award by the College of Business. Friske is a marketing research professor and has taught many classes, including Marketing Research, Consumer Behavior and Advanced Marketing Reseach. His professional interests and research are related to several important marketing topics such as marketing strategy, entrepreneurial marketing and corporate social responsibility.
The Marketing Department congratulates these faculty members on their awards and recognitions. Although the school year is coming to an end, we look forward to seeing our marketing students and faculty again this fall.
