Jessica Holden, our Marketing Graduate Assistant, was selected to share her research and insights at the 2024 Association of Marketing Theory and Practice (AMTP) Conference. Held in the Hilton Head, South Carolina, this conference served as a platform for Jessica, alongside Dr. Ismet Anitsal, Marketing Department Head, and Dr. Meral Anitsal, Professor at Tennessee Tech University, to share the realm of Social Media Marketing, Societal Marketing, and Social Marketing.
The journey to the AMTP conference was not just an individuals hard work, but a testament to the collaborative spirit within our Marketing department. We extend our heartfelt applause to Jessica for her extensive research efforts and express our gratitude to Dr. Ismet Anitsal and Dr. Meral Anitsal for their unwavering support and guidance throughout this research project.
Reflecting on her experience, Jessica shared, “I truly relished the opportunity to delve into this research as my inaugural academic endeavor and found immense value in engaging with faculty and students from various academic institutions.” Her research paper, titled “Interactions between Societal, Social, and Social Media Marketing,” represents a significant milestone in her academic journey, exploring the nuanced distinctions between societal marketing, social marketing, and social media marketing while unraveling their interconnectedness.
A testament to her dedication, Jessica is currently pursuing a graduate certificate in marketing. Graduating in May 2025, Jessica’s academic journey is rooted in a solid foundation, having earned her Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honors in International Business from the
