In this series of posts, we highlight excellent integrations of Missouri State’s new brand platform: Inspiration you can use to develop your own branded content.
Who caught our attention
The College of Natural and Applied Sciences (CNAS) utilized a branded header on its email newsletter, “Discoveries.”
Why it captures the brand
CNAS created consistency with the Missouri State brand by incorporating recommended font, color and visual elements.
Visual identity
CNAS utilized a trio of visual identity elements.
- In the upper-right hand corner, CNAS used grounding bars, as seen on the design elements website. The grounding bars represent the three pillars of Missouri State’s public affairs mission.
- CNAS used the Trade Gothic font for the main callout (DISCOVERIES), and wrote the the college name in Brandon Grotesque, another branded font.
- CNAS also used the tertiary pop accent “May Day” color in the college name, as shown on Our Colors.
How it meets CNAS’s goals
These brand elements helped CNAS reach its targeted audience and introduce those people to Missouri State’s new look. The grounding bars tie in with the public affairs mission and help present a clean, branded design.
