Food and Sustainability

Tuesday, March 24th (5:15 – 6:30 PM)

Citizen Scholar Award recipient Stephanie Urich will present over an extremely relevant topic: how to support and cultivate a sustainable diet, both on a personal and societal level. In this session, you will learn how to protect and enhance natural resources, reduce food waste, and create a meal plan that is tasty and sustainable. You will also learn how to grow your own foods through the use of container gardens, kitchen gardens, and productive pets. Finally, Stephanie will overview resources we have right here in Southwest Missouri that support sustainable food production.
