Graduate certificates in management, leadership, entrepreneurship and international business

Glass Hall computer labFour new graduate certificates have been approved for the management department– ones in entrepreneurship, international business, management and leadership.

According to department head Dr. William Donoher, “The certificate programs enable students to pursue a focused course of study that will enhance their knowledge base. Whether pursued as part of a graduate degree or as a stand-alone program, the certificate allows students to highlight and document a specific skill set when they enter the job market.”

Missouri State’s MBA program currently allows students to customize curriculum by completing 9 credit hours in electives within a specific field. By enrolling in one of the new graduate certificate programs, MBA candidates can officially document that expertise, providing a valuable resume point.

The new certificates might also appeal to working professionals (outside the MBA program) who wish to formalize knowledge learned on the job or enhance a career path by gaining a new skill set.
