Greetings! The Banner upgrades have been completed and verified by Computer Services personnel.
To maintain the University’s technology infrastructure at the level required to ensure reliable and secure delivery of services and technologies, Information Services will be applying updates to the Banner environment on Thursday morning, January 16, 2020.
On January 16, 2020, the following systems will be upgraded and therefore unavailable:
- 5:30 a.m. – 6:30 a.m. – Administrative Banner & ODS will not be available.
There will be no impact to other systems such as: University networks, phone systems, main websites, Blackboard, Office 365, email services, CashNet, video surveillance systems, electronic door access systems, and the application for admission.

On January 5, 2019, the following systems will be upgraded and therefore unavailable:
- 6:00 a.m. – 7:00 a.m. – Banner will not be available.
- 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. – Please restrict your activity to reporting via Argos or view-only access via My Missouri State, Banner. Refrain from making updates to the system via My Missouri State, Banner. System availability might be intermittent during the upgrade.
There will be no impact to other systems such as: University networks, phone systems, main websites, Blackboard, Office 365, email services, CashNet, video surveillance systems, electronic door access systems, and the application for admission.

Routine upgrades to the University’s mission critical networks and information systems are necessary to provide reliable and secure technology-related services. These upgrade activities are scheduled for times when the disruption to the University community are minimized. Plan accordingly, as the University’s networks and information systems will be unavailable during the upgrade period.
- Friday, January 3 from 12:01 a.m. – 12:30 a.m. – Internet on campus will be unavailable
- Friday, January 3 from 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. – intermittent campus-wide system, network, and phone outages while we upgrade and test redundancies on several key services.
