Greetings! The Banner infrastructure upgrades have been completed and verified by Information Services personnel. The system became available for use at 10:20 AM.

On Sunday, January 30, 2022, the following system will be upgraded with Oracle security patches and therefore unavailable:
- 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. – Banner applications will not be available.
There will be no impact to other systems such as: University networks, phone systems, main websites, Blackboard, Office 365, email services, CashNet, video surveillance systems, electronic door access systems, and the application for admission.
To maintain the University’s technology infrastructure at the level required to ensure reliable and secure delivery of services and technologies, Information Services will be applying updates to the this environment on Sunday morning.

On Sunday, January 23, the following systems will be upgraded and therefore unavailable:
- 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Admin Banner, the underlying Oracle database, Argos, AppMan, and all other systems reliant upon the database will not be available during this time.
There will be no impact to other systems such as: My Missouri State, Self Service Banner, University networks, phone systems, main websites, Blackboard, Office 365, email services, video surveillance systems, electronic door access systems, and the application for admission.
To maintain the University’s technology infrastructure at the level required to ensure reliable and secure delivery of services and technologies, Information Services will be applying updates to the Banner environment on Thursday evening.

The Zoom LTI that provides connection through Blackboard is currently unavailable and returns an internal server error. Zoom is aware of the issue and has a targeted fix set to go into place on January 22nd.
Meetings can still be created directly in Zoom. Faculty can sign in to their Zoom account at missouristate.zoom.us and can create a meeting and share the link with their class through Blackboard or email for a temporary workaround.
We will provide updates when the fix is in place and we confirm that the issue is resolved.
