Greetings! The Banner infrastructure upgrades have been completed and verified by Information Services personnel. The system became available for use around 11:00 PM on Sunday, March 27.
On March 26 – 27, 2022 both the West Plains and Springfield database teams will be upgrading the underlying Oracle database for Admin Banner and therefore some systems will be unavailable:
- 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. Admin Banner, the underlying Oracle database, Argos, AppMan, and all other systems reliant upon the database will not be available during this time.
There will be no impact to other systems such as: University networks, phone systems, main websites, Blackboard, Office 365, email services, CashNet, video surveillance systems, electronic door access systems, and the application for admission.
To maintain the University’s technology infrastructure at the level required to ensure reliable and secure delivery of services and technologies, Information Services will be applying updates to the Banner environment on Sunday morning.

On Sunday, March 6, 2022, the following system will be upgraded with Golden Gate updates and therefore unavailable:
- 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Banner applications will not be available, including Admin Banner, BDM, SSB8, Self Service 9, our custom web applications, and all other systems that depend upon the production database.
There will be no impact to other systems such as: University networks, phone systems, main websites, Blackboard, Office 365, email services, CashNet, video surveillance systems, electronic door access systems, and the application for admission.

Greetings! The Upgrade Day changes have been completed and verified by Information Services personnel.
On Sunday, January 2, 2022, the following systems will be upgraded and therefore unavailable:
- 12:01 a.m. – 1:00 a.m. – Internet for Springfield, West Plains and Mountain Grove campuses will be unavailable.
- 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. – Wireless for all campuses will be upgraded and services will be interrupted while the equipment reboots.
- 9:00 a.m. – Noon – maintenance work in Glass Hall may cause brief outages to the network and VoIP phones.
- Noon – 1:00 p.m. – VPN.missouristate.edu will be out of service for an upgrade which will disconnect anyone logged in to the VPN.
- Time TBD – maintenance will be performed on phone system equipment that affects Jordan Valley Innovation Center, Brick City and Plaster Center for Free Enterprise. No outages are expected.
There will be no impact to other systems such as: main websites, My Missouri State, Banner, Blackboard, Office 365, email services, CashNet, video surveillance systems, electronic door access systems, and the application for admission.
